Hello Coaches, my name is Easton Abbey and I play soccer at St. Ignatius HS ('27) and at Cleveland Force (ECNL09). I have been playing soccer since I was 4 and in my early days, I used be the kid who scored the most goals. Why am I telling you this? I tell you this, because most kids stay with that passion to score and be the hero. Although I do not mind coming in for a header on a corner kick or two, my passion on the field is to DEFEND goals. My mindset is of defense first, as I make it my personal responsibility to ensure my goalie doesn't have to work hard AND my forwards do not have to worry about playing from behind. I also love the trust my team has in me that if our midfielders or forwards make a mistake, they know I am back there to clean it up. This allows them to play more aggressive and freely.
Another reason I love playing in the back is my ability to be a leader. Since I am usually playing all game, it allows me to be an on-field coach with support, direction, and praise of my fellow teammates.
If you are interested in a player who excels academically, will always put in the extra effort and be the best teammate, then I would like to connect with you.
