Simon Kidder Coll...Personal Statement
Throughout my life all I’ve wanted to do when I grow up is play professional soccer. While playing club soccer in Central Oregon as a little kid I always got playing time and was one of the best out there. I believed I didn’t have to put in extra work to make it, that opportunities would just come to me. A couple years ago I was not selected to go to an ODP showcase tournament. This changed my perspective on success. I realized you have to work hard and make sacrifices to reach your dreams. Sense that realization, I have been named captain of my high school soccer team, club soccer team, and high school track team. I have also played for the Rush Select National team and been named league POTY for our 2018 high school season. I am driven in all aspects of life. I am driven to be the best soccer player I can be. I am driven to work hard in school and get good grades. I am driven to be a leader and the best teammate I can be. I am driven to succeed no matter what obstacles I face.
