My name is Stellan Blomberg. I attend Central Catholic High School in Portland, OR and I graduate in 2026.
I am a forward and midfielder for my United PDX ECNL and my high school team. I do not have a dominant foot because I use both feet equally in dribbling, passing, and shooting.
I have been playing futsal and soccer simultaneously since I was 6 years old. I started playing futsal at Rose City Futsal and I have been training and competing with the Rose City Futsal Select teams from 2014 - 2024. I've competed in 3 US Futsal Federation Regional Championships in San Jose and Santa Clara. In 2023 and 2024, my team and I won the USFF Regional Championships. In 2024, I was selected for the 2008-2009 All Star Game at the USFF Regional Championship Tournament and I was invited to compete on the 2008 US Boys team in Malaysia for the 2024 USFF International Championship. I have also trained and played for a U-17 team under the former US National Futsal coach, Dusan Jakica in Portugal and Croatia (Istria Cup 2024). Competing against European professional clubs and national teams has taught me so much about positioning and defense.
In soccer, I have played competitively since I was 6 years old. My first competitive coach started me out as a defender. I kept training and developing and eventually became a forward and midfielder. I am grateful for learning how to play all positions in the game. I currently play ECNL soccer and love opportunities to train and play abroad. Last summer, I traveled to Portugal and Spain with the Minnesota Select U-18 team to train with and play against SC Braga and Celta Vigo. As a forward, I managed to score against the U-18 Celta Vigo men's team. This summer, I will be traveling to Sao Paulo, Brazil with the former assistant coach to the U-18 Brazilian national team, Thadeu Concalves. I will be training and scrimmaging with Sociedade Matonense. After this training, I hope to be quicker under pressure and more unpredictable to my opponents.
I like studying biology and science, so I hope to go to a college where I can study biology and possibly microbiology.
