Personal Statement
Heading to Stockton, CA for the PG Team Qualifiers on July 23-26 at Billy Hebert Complex. Then heading back to Fresno on July 31-Aug 1 for the CBA College Showcase.
I am a switch-hitting, middle infielder who is a 3-year starter with Central Catholic High School Rams Baseball. I was awarded All-Conference Honorable Mention for Utility my freshman year. I hit for power and average on both sides of the plate. Coaches comment on my bat control, opposite-field hitting, and exit velocity (99.57). Defensively, I am efficient with my footwork, exchange the ball with quick hands, and surprise opponents with my range on both sides of second base.
I am a leader on and off the field. As a leader at the school, I represent Central Catholic High School at community events as an ambassador. I am also a Student Council Leader and the President of 3 student clubs. I am on the Christian Ministry team assisting with Grade Level Retreats and planning masses. In baseball, my positive leadership and inclusiveness unifies teams. My regular high intensity in both practice and game raises my teammates’ abilities. Like Francisco Lindor, I am always smiling. I love this game.
In high school, I have an average 4.3 GPA. I especially enjoy the challenge of math and science and am currently taking AP Calculus AB and Honors Chemistry in addition to my other junior year coursework. My discipline and time management allows me to continue to excel in school and baseball.
My parents recently purchased a farm including 4 goats. The goats are getting used to my extra hitting in their barn!
