Connor Mensinger '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello everyone,

Just to give a little personal information about myself. When I am  not  playing soccer or working I am in the outdoors. I love to hunt, fish, build tree stands, anything that has to do with being outside. I also started a youtube channel CVoutdoors with my friend and teammate. We also take other members of the team out to help them catch fish and enjoy time outdoors. I attend church almost every Sunday and I am active with our youth group on Sunday evenings. When I was a month old I was in a bad car accident that resulted in me losing the use of left frontal lobe of my brain. My parents were told throughout the first three years of my life that I would probably never be mainstreamed in school, that I may never speak, and that I would never play any kind of sports. I actually had to learn sign language to communicate early on in my life. By the grace of god and alot of therapy I was able to overcome every obstacle that was put before me. I thank god and my parents for all they did to help me to where I am at today. I am now on the honor roll, looking at colleges, I have been a 4 year varsity starter, and you would never know that a event like this happened in my life.  When i was six my parents signed me up for soccer and I fell in love. I love the speed of the sport, the thrill of the competition, and the results that come with hard work. I love overcoming obstacles and pushing myself to become better.    I plan on majoring in architecture when I attend college, and hope to continue to play this game I love at the next level.
