Sam Wessel - High...Personal Statement
Ever since I touched a soccer ball I had aspirations to compete at the highest level possible. As I kept playing and improving, my love for the game and my aspirations grew even more. I realize that playing college soccer is a dream of many and not just me, but I worked my whole life for this. Although playing in college is a priority of mine, I also want to progress my academic career and obtain an education.
Currently I'm a goalkeeper for Pittsburgh Riverhounds ( ECNL 07) and a captain for my high school team, Thomas Jefferson High school. What I've learned from these two teams is that you can't win by yourself. It takes a collective group of people who have a shared drive to win and work ethic to achieve something.
