Personal Statement

My name is Andrew Price and I attend Plumstead Christian School in the class of '22. I am the starting goalkeeper on the varsity team as well as on my 2004 Boys Black Conshy team at FC Delco.

Some of my strengths on the field are leadership, presence, and my ability to communicate with my teammates. Another strength of mine is my ability to analyze opposition play before it happens, and to communicate and prevent the play from being a dangerous attack on goal. I also have a positive and humble attitude on and off the pitch and help my teammates focus throughout the game.

In school, I enjoy studying history and English. In college, I am considering studying digital media/communications focusing on tv and film production. I also volunteer weekly on my church’s tech team, doing camera work for weekly service live streams.

After hosting the highest attended 2017 tournament in club history, West-Mont United will host the 15th Annual Battle at HillTop Powered by Adidas, this August 2018! The Battle At HillTop offers great competition and professional level facilities with over 300 teams across various age groups! The premier tournament format includes a minimum of three games providing a high level of competition with Premier, A and B level flights.

Goalkeeper Training

Weekly goalkeeper training with Simon Robinson, Between the Posts Goalkeeper Academy. Between the Posts focuses on group training, but develops each individual keeper within the group setting. Coach Robinson uses a micro-focus/build model that breaks down the movements of each type of save, and builds on each motion until the keeper is drilling each save in game-like conditions. Coach Robinson's coaching experience spans 20+ years, coaching keepers in both England and the USA. During this time, he has coached keepers at the club, college and Olympic Development level and has backed up his coaching experience with several high level certifications and a Degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Strength and conditioning coaching through Buckingham United Soccer Club with CrossFit Summa and SandyDog CrossFit. Private strength & conditioning training through Erica Suter, MS, CSCS. Proper lifting technique emphasized while building player strength and stamina in the off seasons.
Goalkeeper Training (club)

Twice weekly goalkeeping training with FC Delco Goalkeeping Director John Amorim during the 2020-2021 season. Prior to joining FC DELCO, Coach Amorim was the Director of Goalkeeping at FSA FC United based out of Farmington, Connecticut, and the Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the Connecticut Fusion of the Professional United Women’s Soccer League. Coach Amorim has extensive experience working at the college level as the former Head Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper/Assistant Coach at Gwynedd-Mercy University, a Division III program. He is also the former Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach of Temple University, a Division I program, and the Head Men’s Soccer Coach of Holy Family University, a Division II program. Coach Amorim worked as the US National Team U14 Boys Goalkeeper coach for more than a decade. Coach Amorim also worked for EPYSA for 15 years as a coach and a goalkeeping coach instructor.
