Gabriel Ramón '24 Recruiting Profile

I have played at the highest level of soccer in the USA and Uruguay as a Defensive Center Midfielder.  While living in CA, I played in the California State Cup Final, the Dallas Cup MLS semi-final, and competed at the highest MLS showcases.   Today, at only 16, I now play for a top UPSL teams, Beaman United FC in Nashville.  During US summers, I travel to Uruguay to be with my family there and train with Deportivo Maldonado coach and practice w/ their team.  

Understanding my strategic and tactical role is my greatest strength. My coaches commend my understanding of the game, tempo control, pass accuracy, breaking lines, and Uruguayan defensive playing style. I look forward to training hard with my future teammates and learning from my coaches to take our university team to the NCAA championship. 

Born in France to a Uruguayan father and USA mother, I have dual citizenship, am a native Spanish speaker, & have developed an international perspective and interest in connecting with students & players from other countries.   Additionally, I attend a highly rigorous academic school, Montgomery Bell Academy  (class of 2024) in Nashville, TN  where I have taken 4 AP classes so far and maintained a 3.5 GPA while playing soccer and volunteering weekly with the Hispanic community. MBA requires that I play at least one season of a sport, and I've been honored to start on their varsity soccer team for the past 2 seasons. I aspire to attend an outstanding university that offers excellent soccer, academics, and commitment to giving back to the community.
