Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since the age of 4. I am very athletic and love many sports, however soccer has been my passion my entire life. Over the years, I have played recreational soccer both indoor and outdoor. I also played academy and competitive soccer since the age of 12. Recently, I was accepted into the North Texas Olympic Development Program.
I am always looking for ways to improve my personal skill level as well as experience. I am currently looking to be recruited for US Revolution; a 2-week program that allows me to travel to Europe to train with European coaches and compete in tournaments.
I am a very competitive player and strive to bring out the champion in me each time I step on the field. Most of my life I played as a goalie, however several years ago, due to an injury to my arm, I began playing as an attacking midfielder and wing position. I found that my skill level as a midfielder was exceptional and love that position the most. I pride myself on my ability to read my teammates movements. This skill has worked well for me, as it enables me to be more successful with my one touch passes and setting plays. I also have a very strong leg, which in combination with my goal keeping experience, helps with penalty kicks and corner kicks. I also love heading the ball into the net for a goal off a corner kick.
As a long term goal, I aspire to be a professional soccer player. I would also like my career to eventually move into the field of coaching and managing on a professional level. I love to share my knowledge with the younger generation and currently spend my personal time referring for local youth associations. It is my way of giving back to the sport that has given so much to me.
I am interested in finding a soccer program that will be challenging and lead me to professional opportunities. Most importantly, I am looking for a coaching staff that will mentor me both athletically and in my personal development. I am looking for strong competitive teammates, who will consistently challenge and positively bring out the best in me. I am looking for a program with pride and a winning competitive attitude.
