Juan Forero '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Juan Forero. I am 14 years old and am a Freshman at Paetow High School. I have been playing this sport since I was 2 years old back when I lived in Venezuela. When I moved to the U.S. in 2017 I was instantly back to playing the game that I loved. I was never a standout player in any of the clubs I joined  and was never a player you would look twice in. Then, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 I moved towns and joined a club where again I was not a great or standout player for two seasons in a row. After that I had slimmed down to a tremendous level and started taking the sport to a completely new level of seriousness. I practiced day and night out wanting to finally break through and all the hard work paid off to the point where I had a season scoring 11 goals and 8 assists in 7 games. After that I changed clubs where I have developed to a whole new level. 

I have developed into a complete player that doesn’t fully stand out in a given area of the game but can comfortably play any position on the pitch depending on the team‘s needs and focuses on improving anywhere that is needed either for my good or for the good of the team. I'm great at analysing the game and can read it from anywhere on the field whether it be from the back as a centerback, or from the top as a no. 9. I'm a coachable player that always tries to learn new things every day.

Right now I stand as a player with characteristics in his game that will fit any coach’s needs regardless of their style of play. My primary position is as a modern left back, but can easily play as a CDM, CB, RB, CM, ST, etc. I’m a hardworking teammate and try my best to lead by example day in and day out.

Overall football has helped me overcome many different challenges and grow as a person. My ultimate dream is to make it professionally and play for a big club. It sounds crazy at first, but I don’t care about how crazy or impossible it may be. Because as long as I work hard and have God with me I can and will eventually achieve my goals.
