I started playing competitive soccer when I was 10 and although I was pretty good, I really didn’t connect to the sport until I had a coach tell me I had really good touch and ball handling skills. I spent a lot of time developing my juggling and touch which continues to help my game. I’m currently a junior at Layton High School (Utah) in Davis County. I just finished playing high school soccer as a junior and I’m looking forward to next year as we look to have another strong team. My club soccer team will be starting in the next few weeks and we look to have an amazing team. We will be traveling several times during the summer and upcoming fall including California and Las Vegas tournaments. I will update my travel schedule as it becomes available.
I’ve had several experiences in life which have helped me understand how to face and overcome challenges, from social and emotional to dealing with the physical stress of constant training and playing. I think I can relate to and understand a variety of different people which will help me get along my teammates and coaches. I loved to be coached and pushed to be better and I hope to be able to encourage others as well.
My goal is to finish high school strong and successfully transition to college, most likely to majoring in business. I’m still figuring out how to balance and organize myself with soccer, school, and other activities but I know I can do it. I love to play soccer and I think it would be a blast to play soccer while going to school.
