Lucas Bassetti '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Lucas Bassetti, and I am a 16-year-old 11th grade student attending New Kent High school. I have been a goalkeeper since I was 6 years old. I am currently playing for the Tidewater Sharks Travel Soccer Club, located in Williamsburg, Virginia; as well as, previously for my 8th grade school year, becoming a junior varsity (JV) starting goalkeeper. During Freshman year, not only was I the starting JV goalkeeper, but I was given the opportunity to play up for our Varsity soccer team during the playoffs leading to states. For sophomore year, I was awarded the opportunity to play starting goalkeeper for our Varsity soccer team just coming shy of making it to the state tournament. As for my academics, I’m majority an “A” and "B" student, and currently enrolled in dual-enrollment classes. Also, in the 8th grade, I was awarded a “Certificate of Excellence” for having the highest score in my English class, finishing that year out with straight A’s. Finally, my main collegiate goal would be to graduate with honors with a 4.0 or greater GPA, furthering my education with a master's degree in Social Sciences; with the aspiration to be a top contending collegiate goalkeeper and having the opportunity of playing professionally.
