My name is Gabriel Giammatteo and I am from the small town of Nelson in southern Virginia. I am outgoing and interactive both in the classroom and on the athletic field; always hoping to better myself and those around me. I have perseverance, dedication, and a strong positive mental attitude that helps me lead my team. Moreover, I have been a team captain for every travel team I have played for since I began playing travel soccer. The day I began playing soccer, I made a promise to myself that one day I would compete at the college level and that has been my mission ever since. Currently, I compete at the division one level with Wake FC Black in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Besides soccer, I run cross country and am a member of the wrestling team. The athletic accomplishment I am proudest of is traveling to Spain where I trained in FC Barcelona facilities and then competed against other Spanish teams.
I have maintained honor roll status throughout my Elementary years and into my years in high school. I am also in the Governor's school program and taking as many advanced classes as I can. For my collegiate life, I hope to attend a distinguished school academically and be a part of a growing soccer program. After undergraduate college, I hope to attend law school and go on to practice corporate law.
