Idan Uritsky '23 Recruiting Profile

Growing up in Israel, soccer was a big part of the culture. As the most popular sport, soccer was a symbol of self expression and unity. My only dream since I was young has been becoming the best soccer player I can be and taking myself to the highest level. In academics, I pursue high grades and achievements. Taking classes seriously led me to a 4.0 GPA at Eastlake High school. On the field, I have been striving for being a well rounded player, meaning I can play many positions. As a CAM, I find open gaps and look to create chances for my team. As a winger, I look to receive the ball and take a player on or find a run from midfield to play in behind. As a RB or RWB, I look to delay on defense, forcing the player whichever way we need in the moment. On offense I play high and tucked in like a 6 or CDM. Ever since I was younger, I have always been the shortest player on the field, dealing with players bigger and stronger than me has always left me with a chip on my shoulder, one that brings me desire to work harder and win.
