My soccer backstory; I've always been the kid with a ton of energy, the kid that needed a physical/positive outlet to release it. My mom signed me up for soccer when I was 4 years old, but I didn't know then how it would become a huge part of my life 4 years later. When I was 8 years old, I started rec soccer (coached by my mom and now step-dad). I switched between striker and goalkeeper, loved to score/loved to block the shots. I played 2 years of rec and then started Premier at age 10. I played 2 years with Issaquah Gunners, climbing from the C team to the A team in less than 2 seasons.
It was time for a higher level of play. In 2022, I made the switch to Crossfire Premier. I played 1 season on the 2008 ECNL 2 team and then was moved up to ECNL 1. I put in extra time with private goalkeeper training and strength training to earn my spot on the best 2008 team in the Nation. However, being on the best team, doesn't give a goalkeeper a lot of challenge. I decided it was time for another change to help me continue growing my skills.
In 2023, I move to the Eastside FC 2008 ECNL team. EFC has the best goalkeeper training program in WA. I made the Varsity team for Sammamish High School, as a freshman. We achieved 2023 2A KingCo Champions, 3rd in 2A Districts, and made quarterfinals of 2A state. I received 2023 Kingco 2A All-League Honorable Mention and 2A All-State 2nd Team.
I was also selected for WA EPD 2008 training pool and then selected for traveling team to attend the 2024 Far West ODP Championships.
As an athlete; I know how to be patient, put in the work, and trust in the process. I know how to be a leader, that doesn't belittle his team, only uplifts them. I know that cross-training will only make me a stronger athlete (TRX training, yoga, weight training and sports conditioning). I will always be that kid with a ton of energy that needs goalkeeping as my positive outlet. Being a keeper requires a mental strength and a little bit of craziness... I have both.
As a student; I know my studies are important and help me to stay well-rounded. As I move through high school, I know that keeping my grades up is more important than ever to help me get into a good college.
