Personal Statement
On the academic side of things I go to a charter school connected to the Kettle Moraine District that focuses on Health Sciences. As of right now I am looking to pursue a degree in the medical field. This charter school allows me to enroll in outreach programs through hospitals where I get to experience different jobs in the medical field. And I also get to participate in research done at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
My dad was a big part in my early soccer career; when I was 6 I began to look forward to practice and games. It was around age 7 or 8 my love for the goalkeeping position started. I have been lucky enough to play on varsity for three years now (9th, 10th, 11th). My Freshman year I shared time with a Senior goalkeeper and learned to be patient and what it takes to play at a higher level. My Sophomore year I started and began to see my responsibility to be a leader out of the back. My junior year I put the two together and became the leader out of the back and kept a calm cool mind in the highs and lows throughout the season. During this period, I also played up a year during my club seasons (I'm an 02 playing at the 01 age group). Through the past three years I have had to mature fast while playing with older players and have grown as a person and a player.
Because of my leadership, work ethic, willingness to learn and being coachable on and off the field I believe I am ready and able to compete at the college level. "Practice like you are the number two, play like you are the number one"(Stan Anderson). This is the motto I use to push myself while on the field and in the classroom.
