Daniel Tanaka '21 Recruiting Profile

    I have been swimming since I was 8 and over that time I have learned to be driven in my endeavors, supportive of my teammates, and classmates. I first became interested in swimming because of how therapeutic it was, and how each time I entered the pool there was a new challenge awaiting me. I have learned that I am very driven because of swimming and that I strive to be challenged especially in competitive arenas.

     My academic goals are to achieve an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above and to get an 1100-1340 on the SAT this year. For my senior year, my goals are to take 3-4 AP classes, achieving an unweighted GPA of 3.6 or above, and to get my seal of biliteracy. 

    Upon graduation from high school, my academic goals will include attending a four-year college which offers my major, can help me prepare and pass the MCAT, and affords me the opportunity to get into a prestigious Medical School to subsequently become a Cardiologist.

    Just like any hardworking, driven student, there were obstacles I needed to pass. For example, I always pushed myself to take a higher-level Spanish class and numerous AP classes, this assigned me with a lot of coursework and the rigors of learning a new language, pursuing this became difficult during my athletic season, however, I was able to maintain my GPA in all courses and pass all of the classes with acceptable grades (nothing below 82%)

In conclusion,  I am a hardworking student, who is very driven and disciplined to complete any goal that is put in front of me.
