Deven Beasley '20 Recruiting Profile

My dream has always been to play college baseball.  I am currently playing travel baseball with Show California 17U and in the Spring I will be a primary starter on Berkeley High School's varsity team.  I have always been a team leader and want to continue that into college, while furthering my education and earning a degree in business. While I aspire to one day play baseball professionally,  in the near term I want to continue to improve my skills and contribute to the success of whatever team I am on.  

I am recognized as a hard worker, both on the field and in the classroom.  I am very competitive and play baseball with passion, intensity and confidence.  With the support of my family I have been fortunate to be able to play this game I love my entire life.  I have worked particularly hard this last year to develop a strong 4 pitch set, improve my location and consistently pitch to contact.  

I think I can make an immediate positive contribution to any program. I consider myself a pure and well-rounded athlete.  My primary position is pitcher, but I can also play all outfield positions. While I am from California, I am open to all academic and baseball options.
