It all began as a ridiculous bet I made with my dad at the young age of 6, after I won my very first summer league swim race. He jokingly told me, “If you can make it to college through swimming, I will buy your dream car!” I, very seriously, told him about a lime green lamborghini aventador, and promised him that I would do anything and everything to get this car. To this day, after nearly 11 years of swimming, I still have that same drive to reach my goals and aspirations of swimming in college, though now it is through my intense passion for competition and the desire to improve myself.
As a teammate, I consider myself encouraging and optimistic, and when the time arises, sympathetic. I am constantly cheering my team on and rallying my friends right before our important relay races. I am also an extremely sociable person, and I love to listen and make strong relationships with family, friends, and mentors. I understand the impact of academics and have currently achieved a 4.3 GPA, and numerous honors and AP courses in highschool. I have achieved multiple academic awards including a physics award, a curiosity award, a dedicated learner award, and a student of the month award.
Swimming in college has always been my dream and I am ready to achieve that dream through any means possible!
