Carter Hanchett '24 Recruiting Profile

I am an extremely dedicated and hard-working athlete and student. I have been swimming most of my life. I have swam in summer leagues since I was seven years old, but didn’t start swimming on a year-round club team until the summer of 2021. During my freshman year of high school, I joined the high school swim team and made varsity, I swam for varsity again my sophomore year and am excited to swim for my year-round club team. In terms of academics, I am a good student and keep up my grades. I want to pursue a career in the medical field specifically in orthopedics. I have always been interested in studying the human body and how it works and performs in activities such as sports. This interest in the body has also motivated me to lead a very healthy lifestyle, ensuring that I keep my body in good physical shape not just by swimming and lifting but also by keeping a healthy diet. Overall, I am motivated to pursue my academic goals as well as my athletic ones and am dedicated to continuing to improve my performance in and out of the pool.
