Thank you for taking the time to read a bit more about my aspirations and goals. I began swimming at the age (4) four years old and began swimming competitively at the age of (7) seven. Since that time I have truly enjoyed competing and pushing hard to become an exceptional student athlete. I am interested in pursuing marine biology, environmental science or conservation in college as I am very passionate about the environment and ecosystems. In addition to a strong academic, hands-on college program, I am very focused on swimming in college at the highest completive level where I can contribute to a strong culture of winning and sportsmanship while balancing academics and extracurricular activities. I also enjoy other physical fitness including biking, running, scuba diving and hiking.
I have a record of strong academic performance, leadership experience and have always taken a disciplined approach to training. I take coaching and direction well and work hard to apply what is instructed so that I can improve my technique and speed. What differentiates me from other swim recruits is that I can always be counted on to do what's right and positively influence others around me.
