I believe that I try my best when swimming during meets, practices, and in school. I am an A and high B student, taking honors classes currently. I strive to make myself better in and out of the pool. I try to push people just as much as they push me to make me a swimmer and a person better. I am dedicated, hard-working, and have good sportsmanship whether I lose or win a race.
I started swimming when I was 8 because of my friends. They told me that I should join the summer swim team that I currently swim for right now and that it would be fun. After that first year of swimming, I knew that I wanted to keep doing the sport not just for my friends instead for the skill and determination I had for the sport to keep getting better every year. Then I joined my current all-year-round team and have swam with them since. When I got older I realized that if I kept practicing and getting better I could go to college and swim. I joined my high school's swim team and last year my performance showed me that I could do great things when it comes to swimming.
