Personal Statement
Swimming has been my passion since I got my first blue ribbon in my local Summer League. I am a junior national qualifier in the 100 and 200 SCY breaststroke and Cardinal Gibbons High School record holder in 100 SCY breaststroke. I am a two-time North Carolina Age Group Champion (50 SCY Back, 100 LCM Breast) and was a 2018 North Carolina Zones Team member.
I have been competitively swimming with my club, TAC Titans, since I was 11. I am a versatile swimmer, with breaststroke being my primary stroke. In practice, I strive to learn and improve my stroke and technique every chance I get. I love going to the gym and weightlifting. I thrive on understanding how to combine swimming, dryland, nutrition, and mental training to achieve the best possible performance. I train all year round with my club, high school, and Summer League teams.
I am a leader and lead by example on and off the pool deck. Aside from swimming results, I want to be known for my sportsmanship as a swimmer and my trustworthiness as a friend. I also like to have fun and make people laugh. In the classroom, I work hard and enjoy participating to achieve the best grades. In college, I plan to major in a discipline that will prepare me for a medical career. I want to attend a college where I can contribute to the team, improve as a swimmer and student, and become part of a great and supportive environment.
When not swimming, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, or hanging out at the beach.
