Personal Statement
- My goal is to become a Division 1 lacrosse player. I work hard to achieve this goal every single day. I am focusing my efforts on the field, in the classroom, and in my community.
On The Field
I am a two sport athlete who also plays QB on my high school football team. During my freshman year in high school and first Varsity lacrosse season, we won the 4A NC State Championship at Cardinal Gibbons High School with a record of 17-0. I had the opportunity to play with several Division I lacrosse players at Gibbons with commitments to Air Force, Hofstra, Jacksonville, Drexel and Loyola. I was a major contributor to the team, earning Third Team All-Conference honors as a freshman. I was fifth on the team in points with 15 goals and seven assists, often running with the first midfield line balanced with time at attack. My commitment to lacrosse carries over to my Club team. I currently play for three teams in the Team 91 system (Team 91 Carolina, Team 91 South and Team 91 National). I've also had success on the football field. During my sophomore season, I started at QB on the JV team where we went 8-1 and outscored opponents 371-42. I contributed by throwing 8 touchdown passes and rushing for an additional 8 touchdowns. I was elevated to Varsity for the playoffs and won a 4A state championship, the first in school history. I was All Conference again my sophomore year and our team lost in the State Semi-Final. We won another State Championship this year and I was recognized with All Conference, All Region and All State honors. I play club lacrosse with Team 91 Carolina and Team 91 South.
In The Classroom
I made the A/B honor roll in both of my first two semesters in high school and took honors classes in both math and science. I am placed in honors and AP in all classes and maintain a 3.6 GPA.
In My Community
I serve my community in many ways. I have served as an altar server at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. I also support the community by volunteering at food banks in North Carolina and stringing lacrosse sticks for the youth lacrosse players in the area.
Again, my goal is to leverage my successes in academics to become a Division 1 lacrosse player and play at the highest level.
