Ian Delahunty '12 Recruiting Profile

I have 9 years of club swimming experience and have been on my high school (Riverside High School) varsity swim team since the seventh grade. Since then, not only have I been named 1st team all-region 3A and 4A, I have helped propel the men's team to two state titles. As far as my club swimming goes, I have qualified for both YMCA Short and Long course National Championships and also qualified for Senior Sectionals. I have a 4.3 GPA and am looking for a larger school, preferably but not necessarily in the south to southeast region of the country. I would like to be at a school at the division 1-3 level that ideally offers a major in the anatomical sciences, where I can then go on to medical school. As you can tell, athletics is a very important part of my life and I would ideally like a program where I can make a big impact as well as get the sufficient training necessary to allow me to accomplish my long term goals. Finally, I come with leadership,(I keep the team motivated and concentrated on the goals at hand), hard work, (I am always the first in the pool and give my all in every set), and a strong will to succeed (I will stop at nothing until I have accomplished what I have set out to do).
