Charles Ashton '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming since I was seven years old. Throughout a number of moves as a child, swimming has been one of my constants and main passions.  I am self-driven and focused on putting the very best into all I do.  My parents have invested in me the expectations of self-sufficiency and a strong work ethic, and I am looking forward to continuing my swimming career after completion of high school. My coaches will talk to you about my strong work ethic, desire to be a team leader and motivator, and a consistently positive attitude.

I am the oldest of three children, and the son of two attorneys, who expect me to be put forth my best effort in anything I undertake.  I am a 4.0 student, and have taken honors and advanced courses throughout high school.  I have participated on the debate team and enjoy traveling to tournaments to improve my skills. In addition to swimming year around, I also play for the Stevens High School Golf team, the Stevens High School baseball team (pitcher and 3B) and play travel baseball with the Rapid City Sliders.
