Personal Statement
I have been swimming since the age of six, and I have thoroughly cherished the many memories I have made in and out of the pool. Swimming has held a cardinal place in my life; therefore, it would be a privilege to be able to extend it at the collegiate level. On the other hand, there have been times where it has been difficult to balance the rigorous training schedule and the demanding work that comes with school. Ultimately however, it is that same routine which has fortified my perseverance and dedication.
I am an active volunteer in my community and participate in multiple clubs within my school. There is almost never a day where I am not doing something, and although it may be challenging at times, I consistently give my best effort and strive to produce work of the finest caliber. Even at school, I have held myself to the highest standard by challenging myself to select AP courses not normally recommended for my grade level, and all while maintaining an A. With these points being said, I can confidently and assuringly say that I am ready to take on any challenge with the mindset and determination needed to succeed.
