Kayla Childs '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Kayla Childs (better known as KC on the field) and I've been playing soccer for almost 10 years! Throughout my journey as an athlete, I tried several sports, but soccer has always felt the most natural. I've played club soccer for Nashville United Soccer Academy, or NUSA, since 2018. Most recently, I dual rostered on the 08' and 06' team, and was a starter in Orlando for Pro Nationals with the 06' team in July 2023! As a freshman last year, I started on the Brentwood High School soccer team as an outside defender, and as a sophomore this year start as either a wing or striker. Outside of soccer, I've always been fascinated by Rube Goldberg machines, robots, and anything mechanical. I love to create and transform things from my imagination into reality, and aim to explore the fields of STEM and engineering through college. On a more personal note, I firmly believe in respect, perseverance, and good sportsmanship, factors that make me fun and easy to coach!
