Austin McCall '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin McCall, a Student- Athlete and I'm a hardworking swimmer . I'm truly dedicated to this sport.  My most important accomplishments were in my 10th grade year and senior year of swimming. I was in 10th place for the 50 free with a time of  making me two spots away from state which was top 8 qualifying times. Senior year I was also 10th in 50 back with a time of 31.99. I have been on the varsity swim team at my high school since my freshman year.

Knowing that I'm capable of swimming in college gives me a greater chance of reaching my goal of being a pro swimmer. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to arrive at the swimming pool and the last one to leave the pool. I will always stay to have what I need to be critiqued and perfected to help me swim faster and stronger.

When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are very big. I mainly look at west coast states (Washington, Oregon, Arizona, California, etc.) but I am very open to going anywhere. I am open-minded about colleges and hope to just find a college that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and swim I will be happy. My top choice in a major is Business Administration concentration in Sport and Entertainment Management and Health and Science with Concentration in Sport Medicine.

My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a highly competitive level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to be an example to those after me. My biggest goal in this sport is to go pro in swimming. I know it will take time and work but I am ready for anything that comes my way. I’m more than happy to bring excitement, dedication, joy and courage to your school and team.
