Michael Monk '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michael Monk and I am a graduate from the class of 2017 from Kingwood High School in Houston Texas. My class rank is 86 out of 652 with a GPA of 3.941(4.0 Scale). My grades are straight A's with exception of two B's throughout high school in honors and AP courses. I love to challenge myself and my teammates and I am very competitive. my goal is to attend a college that will be able to take me to the highest level of athletic achievement possible. The career path I would like to pursue is one of either business and finance or engineering. However, I am currently undecided. I am a compelling leader and some of my leadership experiences are: Vice President of Chess Club, President and Captain of Triathlon Club, National Honors Society, Ultimate Frisbee Club Officer, and Church member (with experience in mission trips). I aspire to find a well-knit team and a superior coaching staff that will push me to, and beyond, my limits. I want to surround myself with people who work hard and all have a common goal of being the best. I realize how important a strong education is and how hard work out of the pool will sculpt me into a greater athlete as well, and I hope to go to a school that will help me maximize the benefits of a strong education.
