I would like to study science in college and pursue a career in the field of science or medicine. I've maintained excellent grades in high school while lettering in two sports and then ultimately swimming on my club team full time. I decided to hang up my cleats after ten years of elite club and jr. varsity high school soccer to dedicate myself fully to being in the pool.
I am often the one to keep my teammates' spirits up and push them to do better - I was awarded "Best Teammate" last year. I am comfortable taking the role of a leader, both in school as I lead an entire class through a project, and in my sport where I lead dryland warm-ups at meets and act as an example to younger swimmers on my team.
Whether I'm being coached by Olympic medalists (Kara Lynn Joyce and Klete Keller) or Tyson Wellock, my club coach, I'm constantly looking for ways to better myself and be the fastest swimmer I can be. I'm looking for a college swim program and environment where I can develop my technical skills while leveraging my leadership and team experience.
