Personal Statement

Unlike other swimmers, I was introduced to swimming in a different way. I was seven years old and had Asthma. An unfortunately, I had to quit being active and was stuck at home. But, when swimming came into my life it took my Asthma away and I grew to love the sport. Swimming has given me the endurance, discipline, and leadership skills that will help me thrive in the future. I know I have the elements of a leader and the work ethic to advance in my goals and compete for a college team. 

  My goals in my swimming career are to continue growing with my teammates and as an individual in and out of the pool. I would make a good candidate for a team because I can bring strength and laughter, so that our team can accomplish our dreams, while having fun in the sport we love. I am different from other recruits because I am flexible, passionate, and resilient in my academics and my athletics.
