I have been swimming for most of my life. It has given me so many amazing opportunities and experiences that I am very thankful for. I am a middle-distance/ IM swimmer. But I am very open to swimming wherever I need to. I take every opportunity I can such as going to as many meets and practices as I can along with going to stroke clinics and camps. I try to give my body the nutrients and sleep it needs to be able not only to perform the best it can at a physical level but also an academic level. While I do love swimming and it is a big part of my life, school is just as important to me as swimming. To be able to take classes that I enjoy and do well in them is important to me, but so is my swimming community. Having coaches or a coach and teammates that can build me up and help me learn new things and show me how to do things is also very important. To have the opportunity to be able to swim in college would mean the world for me, but I believe that it is something I have to earn so I am working the hardest I can to be the best athlete, student, and teammate that I can.
