I have been involved in swimming since I was about eight years old. I have always had a passion for it and it has taught me many things like hard work, discipline, and given me confidence in everything I do. My parents have been the backbone to my career in this hard and strenuous sport. They have sent me to camps, given me rides to practice, and taken me to many swim meets near and far. They have been supportive of me and motivated me to keep working hard when I wanted to quit.
I would like to go to college and earn a degree that would allow me to provide for a family. My preferred field of study at the moment is engineering. Specifically aeronautical, but my second choice would be electrical. I would like to swim in college as well. This has been a goal for me since I really got into swimming and decided that I liked it more than football or soccer, two other sports that I have done for many years.
My cumulative GPA isn’t the best and I have an explanation for that. I had a bad freshman year and it brings it down. It has improved ever since I was a freshman and as a junior I have maintained a 3.7 all year and hope for only better as a senior. You can check out my transcript under the academics tab in my profile and see all my grades from when I was a freshman.
I would love to swim in college as long as it fits me well. I have been improving in my academics and swimming career and I can’t wait to see what the next level has to offer for me.
