Hi, I'm Sam:
I have recently made the decision I want to continue playing tennis in college. I believe playing tennis and being part of a team will help my development in college and make me a more attractive candidate for post graduate admission into medical school.
I have not taken the traditional path of playing lots of tournaments. My family made the decision not to play tournaments each weekend. I have beaten quality players and those I have not beaten have given up lots of games to me. Most of my losses have been on deuce games.
My key features:
-UTR rating 7.36
-HS GPA 3.62
-ACT 26 and 29 Superscore
I have a VERY powerful serve and forehand. My height and wingspan are an asset at the net. I'm working with a personal coach to better learn the strategy of the game to help me set up points.
This will be my third season as our teams number one singles and doubles player.
I promise if you give me a try out, I will impress you with both my athletic and academic abilities.
Thank you,
Sam B.
PS I'm doing well in my AP classes this semester and I expect my GPA to continue to improve.
