My name is Aidan Francia Cotter, and I have been playing tennis since the age of five. From the beginning, I have always aspired to play on a college team and compete at the collegiate level. My strengths on the court are my ability to hit a wide variety of serves, my volleys, and my forehand. My coaches and teammates can attest to the fact that I have a great work ethic and I have the ability to spread that work ethic and enthusiasm with my own teammates.
Off the court, I have always done well in school, especially in my strongest subjects of English and Social Studies. Even though my tennis training schedule is vigorous, I have also played the piano for eight years. For the past four years I have focused on jazz piano and because of my strong academics and growing mastery on the piano, I was admitted to and continue to attend the world-renowned LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in NYC.
I would like to attend a college where I can thrive and continue in my personal development with a strong and diverse academic program, as well as a strong tennis program. I am open to all types of college settings, but in the end, I am most interested in joining the highest level of tennis competition possible. All in all, I want college to be a productive, fun and growing experience for me on and off the tennis court.
