My passion for the game is matched by a strong work ethic, which I believe is essential for any athlete looking to excel in the highly competitive collegiate environment. During the school year, I play 4 to 5 times a week (before and after school) while balancing a rigorous academic level, and play every day during the summers. I've worked at a tennis center for 3 years giving lessons to adults. By giving countless lessons and analyzing footage I understand how to not only decompose my own style of play and tendencies in and outside a match, but my opponents as well. I am unable to play tournaments and the only times that I can play is when I bike miles on end to get there. Although I've had many obstacles I wake up every day with greater determination to become a better player. Athletically, I train for dynamics and strength whenever I'm not on the court. I have always been able to balance my school efforts and my tennis by playing tennis early in the mornings and finding any extra time to practice during the week. I want to show that just because I've never been able to play too many professionally organized tournaments, I am still a great candidate for any tennis team and will try my hardest at every opportunity I get.
