Tennis has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember, having been introduced to the sport by my dad when I was four-years old. Under the guidance of my first coach, I began playing competitively at age seven. I love the sport, and I have always wanted to continue challenging myself, improving both my physical and mental capabilities on the court, and to contribute to a team.
In an evaluation I received at the end of a tennis camp this past June, my coach wrote that I had a, "great positive and hard-working attitude." Of all the comments on the evaluation, this one meant the most to me. I am ready to be a player that a college coach can be proud to have on his team. My coach will have my highest respect and commitment to excellence on and off the court. At Camden High School, I take challenging courses, and I am among the top students in my class. I intend to continue to excel in my academic studies in college. After college, my plan is to go to medical school and pursue a career in medicine.
