Personal Statement

My name is Jay Patel and I have a rich history in the sport of soccer.  I recently became interested in running track during my sophomore year in high school and have competed in the 800m, 1600m and 4x800 events.  I was immediately moved to the varsity track team and was a member of the 4x800 relay at my high school and broke the Meet record and HS Sophomore record during the Ron Smith Classic 2017.  I was highly successful during the track season and am continuing my success in long distance running by competing in cross country and track during my junior year.  I am a natural leader and hold myself to the highest standards in every aspect of my life. I am also a dedicated student that is enrolled in challenging classes and  have always maintained straight A's.  My competitive spirit and drive are apparent in everything that I do. I am hardworking and always encourage my friends and teammates. Community service is also an important area in my life, I work extensively and tirelessly with numerous organizations that are close to my heart  am also an extremely dedicated student with a passion for learning.  I am looking for a university with both academic and athletic excellence.  I can accomplish any goal that I have set for myself and am able to balance academics, athletics and community service.  I am looking forward to continued success in High School and hope to find a university that is a great fit for me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
