Masen Schechterle '21 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with the game of baseball at 8 years old. While I enjoy many other sports, baseball is where I strive to improve everyday. I am fortunate to attend one of the top high schools in the country and be coached by some incredible mentors.  These men have taught me the value of hardwork, leadership, and putting the team above myself.

As the youngest son of a retired Phoenix Police Officer who was badly injured in the line of duty, I have learned not to take this beautiful life for granted. Overcoming adversity is a core of my beliefs and goals. My sister attended Texas Christian University and now is in a doctoral program at Baylor University. My brother graduated from Northern Arizona University. I've learned a great deal from them about working hard for my future.

Even as a young 2021 high school graduate, I am eager to seek out a school that will fulfill me academically and athletically. I want to leave my schools and teams better than I found them!
