You may have noticed my XC times were not very good this year. Unfortunately I broke the 5th metatarsal in my right foot running the steeple chase back in June. I spent 60 days in a boot and 30 days in rehab. I really didn't start running until October and it just wasn't enough time to get back up to speed. I did manage a respectable time at the Los Angeles City Section Championship, but it was still 28 seconds slower than last year. The injury is fully healed and I feel like I normally would at the beginning of XC season. The plan is to run the Footlocker West meet at Mt Sac next week and a couple indoor meets this winter. No need for a break this off season and I should be ready for a great track season. I've set goals for myself, along with my coaches, of a 9:15 3200 and a 4:15 1600. Going to be a lot of work to achieve those goals, but I am ready for it.
