Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Brandon Colin. I started running my sophomore year in high school and I am now a senior. I run mid to long-distance events from 600m to the 5k. I started running for fun in my sophomore year and since then it's been my life to get faster no matter what I have to do to achieve it and prove myself. One example of my passion for this sport is during my Junior year of High school I got injured during track and had to sit out the whole season and a lot of people thought I would quit. But they were wrong I'm still here kicking it at practice while others have moved on. There are a lot of ups and downs when running and a lot of people let their failures get to them and hold them back but it's what you do with that failure whether you learn from it or let it hold you back. I'm still learning about this concept but there's a saying I heard that goes "What must be light must endure the burning". Running has taught me a lot about myself and showed me I can do things I didn't believe I could ever do before and has taught me to be disciplined and also push not just my body and mind to their limits but surpass my limits to new limits I never could have thought of. I am usually a reserved person not going out of my way to make conversation with others but that is because I'm calm and listen and pay attention where others don't. If anyone is reading this statement about me I just want to say thank you for taking the time to read this and if you ever want to get in contract with me my socials are above along with my strava below where I post my daily running and workouts every day Monday through Friday. Thank you for your time
