Competing at the California State Championships as a sophomore and Placing 6th as a Junior is currently the highlight of my career. My junior year of High School challenged me to step up to the plate. Pole Vaulting is the type of sport where you don't always hit a pr mark, due to this fact I struggled mentally. Realizing that I lacked mental toughness I started to understand and grow as a person, and learn ways to improve. I believe that in order to be a solid college student-athlete you have mental toughness.
Raised in a Mixed Martial Arts gym, since I was born, I was taught the 7 tenets of Tang So Do: Integrity, Concentration, Perseverance, Respect and Obedience, Self Control, Humility, and Indomitable Spirit. These traits are what describe me, and are what I continue to live up to in my day to day life. With these traits I believe I would fit into a challenging team and academic institute. I believe with my skills as a leader, passion for my future and drive to become the best I can, I would be a great fit for your program. As Junior Class President, my ability to never give up is what it takes to be a great asset to your team!
