Ethan Grolnic '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a Junior at Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, Colorado with a  4.6 GPA.  

I am a fierce competitor and worker, I compete in 3 varsity sports and take 5 AP classes.   My goal is to run cross country and Track for a high-level team while furthering my education. 

I am a driven and hard-working student-athlete that has a team focus.  I am the captain for both my Cross Country and Track team and prioritize the team.   I am a competitive racer and student who strives for not only the best individually but as the team.  Since Freshman year I have driven to put myself in a position to succeed in both school and as a runner, while helping my teammates and friends achieve the same. Together my teammates and I have forged ourselves into dedicated, supportive and hard-working team runners.

However, last year my team failed to make the state cross country meet after making it the previous two.  It was a huge blow that has refocused us and purposed our training.  We like to have fun, but continue to grind out workouts, and run for the sheer joy it.  Missing competition is hard, but it strengthened our team bond, and this is my favorite aspect of the sport.  I love being able to have that team to rely upon, to lift me when I'm down and share the successes.
