My progression throught highschool has been a vast improvement. I started hurdling in 8th grade running in the 22s and progressed to an 18.16 PR by the end of my freshman year. At the end of my sophmore year I had cut nearly two seconds and finished the season with a PR of 16.31. I then cut another 1.24 seconds by the end of my Junior year and ran a 15.07 at State Qualifiers and a 15.08 in the finals, placing me 6th in Colorado 4A State Championships. I was also the highest placing Junior in state. Despite how well I placed, I still have not performed as well as I know I can in any meets, even my 15.07, so I am looking for a 14.XX in the near future. As far as my plans for this year I will be transitioning into running track year round as I competed in the 2022 indoor season and am now competing in USATF meets in the summer. I will also be attending open, unaffiliated meets into the fall to keep my skills sharp. My best attribute is definitely my hard working mindset. I always put in more effort than my team mates and refuse to give anyone the right to say they outworked me. Extra reps are never truly extra, as they are always a part of the plan. Also, I'm always open to new ideas and I embrace change especially in my training to keep up with my progression and prevent a plateau. Another reason I am a valuable asset to you is; I love being a part of the team and I have a great relationship with most of my team that promotes a lot of support and positivity as well as some friendly competition. I'd love to be the newest addition to your team and you consideration is greatly apprecated.
