Update: I made my commitment to the United States Air Force Academy on Nov 13th, 2019.
As a strong christian, and student athlete I have set out to be the best I can possibly be, whether that is being active in the community, the classroom, or on the track. From a young age I knew that I was going to be a leader and my actions would affect others around me. In noticing that position, it has always been my top priority to show the utmost integrity and respect for the adults in my life, as well as my peers.
Being raised in a strong family I have been taught to own my actions, and to always choose wisely, regardless of the setting. In the classroom setting that anchor has played a big role as I finished my freshman year with a 4.1 GPA, and continue to focus on maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I am always on a grind, and work for my keep by working hard and in improving myself emotionally, mentally, and physically. I have reflected on that while helping others around me in improving their lives. Without the grace of God, and influence of the people in my life I would not be the same person that I am today.
Thank you,
Braeden M. Holcombe
