Grant Redmond '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a student athlete and just finished my junior year of high school at Soroco, a small high school in northwest Colorado. I am actively involved in the family cattle and hay ranch. Both of my parents graduated college, and I understand how much a quality education is worth. Track and Field is my primary focus, but I have also played football, run cross country, played baseball, including on all-star teams, and played basketball. My sophomore year was my first year competing in track and field, and I was the Colorado 2A state high jump champion with a season PR of 6'6" in 2017. I moved on to my junior year and raised my PR to 6’6.5” along with a second 2A title and also made the 2A All-State track team both years. I have worked with two Olympic medalists, Dick Fosbury and Matt Hemingway. As my senior year of high school begins, I am focused on preparing for college and improving my technique in the high jump.
