Ever since I was little sports has been a huge part of my life, from learning to waterski at age 3 to watching my cousin play D1 K- State volleyball. All throughout elementary and middle school, I participated in every sport possible, from Coach Pitch baseball to gymnastics, but the one sport that always stuck with me was volleyball. The atmosphere created at games is unbeatable, and the joy I feel when playing is unmatched by any other sport. Because I live in a rural community, we do not have a competitive club team, so I play other sports during the winter and spring seasons, which allows me to have a greater appreciation for when volleyball season arrives. I aspire to be the best player and person I can be, both on and off the court. Being a 5’6” middle hitter I am a very hard worker, and I am always striving to improve my hitting and blocking strategies to go up against bigger hitters in every position. My official position is a middle hitter, though I hit from every spot during certain rotations in games. I give 110% both in the classroom and on the court, and I’m always looking for ways to assist younger players in growing both in volleyball and academic skills. I aspire to play volleyball for a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically as well as fulfill my love and passion for the game.
