In high school I qualified for states in the 3200m as well as cross country, but I felt as if I never reached anywhere near my potential. After having an unsatisfying high school cross country and track career I was fortunate to join a junior college where I have been able to grow as a person and athlete. It was the inaugural year of our school’s program yet I finished 5 in the region and top 100 at the cross country national championship while leading our team to a top 25 finish.
I am very dedicated to the sport of running and will always strive to grow and excel in it. No matter the level that I am at, I always want to work my way to the top. For my last year at the junior college level I am looking to earn All-American and medal at nationals for both cross country and track. At my next school I look forward to become the best person, student, and athlete I can become among teammates and coaches who I can believe in and who can believe in me.
Academically, my goal is to pursue a degree and career in the field of sports medicine. I have always been a hard worker in the classroom as well as in running. I was in the NHS in high school and graduated in the top 15% of my class. My freshman year of college I also earned a spot on the All-Academic Third Team for the NJCAA and I will continue to hold myself to high standards for both school and sports.
