Through my life, my parents have played a major role in who I am now and how to have respect for myself and others, be creative, have fun, be caring, and most important of them all to be dedicated and focused. When I was in middle school I would watch my older brother compete at high school track meets and the whole scene seemed fun to me with the crowd cheering and the adrenaline of pushing the limits of you’re body and once I tried out freshman year and competed in my first race, I instantly knew this was meant for me. I love pushing my self to be the best I can and seeing how incredibly far being passionate for something can get me. Track has highlighted the determination and persistence that I didn’t know I had until I started competing. My goal in college is to exceed in my academics as much as possible so I can thrive in my career when I graduate. By the end of my college experience I want to be a complete pro in my career and have 100% knowledge of my practice. One thing that has stood out to me that I cherish is the bonds I can make with my team and memories of having fun and supporting each other through our journey. Through high school there have been difficult times for our team and it has really shown how important friends and teammates are and how important it is to have a strong bond because it’s like a second family. I’ve achieved honor roll all my years of high school and have had a weighted gpa above 4.0 through all of high school. Freshmen and junior year I was awarded the most improved athlete and I’ve been awarded school record holder for the 800m and 4x800m by my sophomore year. My junior year I placed 1st in districts 2nd in regionals and 8th in states for the 800m. For the 4x800m we placed 1st for district and regional, and placed 5th in states. During the summer I ran for a club AAU and went to junior Olympics for the 800m and 4x4. Overall I’m eager to meet the next team I join to create a new amazing bond that can be like my second family so that we can all excel beyond our goals.
